Hiking
Hiking opportunities are plentiful on Kauai. One of the best hikes in the Poipu area begins at Shipwreck Beach. Heading east on Poipu Road, at the first road past the Hyatt Hotel, turn right on Ainako Road toward the Poipu Bay Golf Course and park at the beach. Walk east along the sand dunes and follow the coast until you come to the end, Maha'lepu Beach. This is a very special place on Kauai with unique sand dunes, native and rare plants, sea birds, and fabulous scenery. Please remember to respect the distinctive flora, fauna and archaeological aspects of this beautiful place.
Horseback Riding

Golf
Championship golf is found at both the Kiahuna Golf Club and the Poipu Bay Resort Golf Club which are operating daily and open to the public. Golfers will find a total of 36 holes of spectacular golf between both courses designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. The Kiahuna Golf Club is a par 70, 6366 yard course, situated in the heart of Poipu. The Poipu Bay Resort Golf Club, home of the 1998 PGA Grand Slam, is a par 72, 6959 yard oceanfront course located at the eastern side of Poipu.
Tennis
Tennis players find an assortment of courts available at each of our condominiums except except Poipu Makai, and Prince Kuhio. At Nihi Kai Villas, Waikomo Stream Villas, The Poipu Crater Resort, Lawai Beach Resort, The Kiahuna Plantation, the Makahuena and at Poipu Kai Resort tennis is free. Racquets can be rented for $5/day at the front desks at Nihi Kai Villas and Waikomo Stream Villas.
Fitness & Meditation
For those who don't wish to spend their vacation exercising indoors, there are a variety of classes given locally for developing your mind, body and spirit. Joy from Yoga & Fitness in Paradise, offers morning yoga classes five times a week, right on the beautiful sandy beaches of Poipu.
